Saliva Diagnostics

The ability to monitor health status, disease onset, progression, and treatment outcome, through non-invasive approaches that are convenient, simple to use, fast, accurate, and low cost is the ultimate goal.

Saliva is the optimal diagnostic body-fluid for this purpose. It contains many of the same analytes as plasma, and in many cases, reflects the physiological states of blood which makes saliva a desirable body-fluid for diagnostics. Nevertheless, due to technological obstacles, almost no saliva based diagnostic products are available on the market today.
